This is the fourth One-Day International (ODI) of the ongoing series between Afghanistan and Zimbabwe. The match is scheduled to be played at the Harare Sports Club. This is a five match series. Afghanistan and Zimbabwe engage in play very frequently and in the last few encounters have gone in Afghanistan’s favour. This series at home comes as an opportunity to Zimbabwe to take a sweet revenge for the past losses while Afghanistan will look to maintain their dominance over the hosts winning yet another series straight away. Afghanistan have faced Zimbabwe in 14 ODIs so far winning 8 of them.
Though Afghanistan have played nine matches in Zimbabwe winning five of them, they have never played at Harare. Zimbabwe have the homeside advantage for the series as they will play all the matches at Harare. Afghanistan have played exceptionally well in recent times and despite playing away, they will be the favourites for the match for the form they are carrying. Players like Mohammad Nabi, Mohammad Shahzad, Rashid Khan are at their best. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, have performed well in the recent Tri-nation series with Sri Lanka and West Indies and that will help boost their confidence for this series.
